　　(一)中国大使馆和总领事馆不为中国公民办理协议离婚。当事人均同意离婚，且对财产、子女抚养等没有争议，可以在国内原婚姻登记机关办理协议离婚。

　　(二)如双方或一方离婚当事人在英国工作或学习，不便回国办理离婚事宜，可以委托国内亲友作为诉讼人向有关的中国法院提出离婚诉讼。此前，离婚当事人应确定好起诉人(即原告)、应诉人(答辩人，即被告)。

　　(三)中国大使馆和总领事馆仅为中国公民办理诉讼离婚委托书。已取得英国护照的原中国公民应根据认证程序办理。

　　(四)当事人必须亲自到大使馆或总领事馆办理。

　　(五)要求提供：

　　1、«中国公民办理公证文件申请表»一份填表；

　　2、离婚当事人应持«结婚证»或夫妻关系证明书或婚姻状况公证书；

　　3、中国护照原件和复印件；

　　(六)注意事项

　　1.可事先草拟离婚文书：如«授权委托书»(离婚当事人双方均应填写)、«民事起诉状»(起诉人填写)或«民事答辩状»(应诉人填写)；

　　2.在领事官指导下填写正式文书；

　　3.字迹务必工整。内容必须翔实，文内不得涂改；

　　8.如离婚当事人不能亲自到使领馆办理有关公证手续，有关法律文书如委托书、起诉状等，应根据认证程序办理。即文件经英国当地相关部门公证和认证后，再送往中国大使馆或总领馆办理认证。

　　9.此外，离婚当事人也可向居住地的英国法院提出离婚诉讼。

　　如当事人欲回中国结婚，由英国当地法院出具的离婚判决书，必须经中国中级人民法院裁定承认。在送中国裁定前，根据认证程序办理，该“判决书”应先送英国当地相关部门办理公证和认证后，再送往中国使领馆办理认证。

　　(七)收费标准和办证时间

　　每份文件：12英镑。

　　附件：提起离婚诉讼须知(摘要)

　　根据我国民诉法的有关规定，当事人起诉离婚时，必须完备下列手续：

　　(4)诉状须用钢笔书写，字迹要清楚，诉状内容不得有谩骂和侮辱对方的言辞，更改处应加盖印章(签字)。

　　二。举证要求，起诉离婚的当事人应同时提供下列证据

　　1.提供家庭财产清单，注明财产的品名和数量，其中属男方或女方的婚姻前财产部分和属双方婚后的共同财产部分应予分列，并注明财产现在何处，对共同财产如有分割要求，必须加予明确。
